With Boot Camp you'll see your dog's obedience and behavior improve day by day. Our most popular program gives your dog all the benefits of one-on-one sessions with an experienced professional dog trainer, minus the stress, hassle and expense of sending them away to a board and train kennel.
How Do The Dog Obedience Training Camps work?
Much like a dog walker, we come to your house during the day for a one-on-one session with your dog. When you get home in the evening, you'll work on short, easy homework assignments to maintain your dog's new behaviors. Your dog gets to stay at home with you the entire time, so he gets training where he needs it most - in your living room, in and around your neighborhood or at your favorite parks and cafes.
Boot Camp is an important addition to behavior modification programs for dogs with on-leash aggression, resource guarding, anxiety or hyperactivity.
Individual Boot Camp sessions are $80 per hour for current private lesson and group class students. Custom packages are available.

The Civilized Dog

Perfect Puppy Camp - For Puppies 20 Weeks and Under
Nine boot camp sessions for your puppy and three one-hour coaching sessions for you - $500
Puppies are wonderful, but they don't stay puppies for long. Now you can give your puppy the best start in life without sending her away to a kennel for weeks at a time.We'll be here to guide you through the hard parts and answer all of your questions. Over three private lessons, we'll cover topics like:
- Puppy-proofing your house
- Puppy biting
- Potty training and crate training
- Chewing and teething
- Preventing unwanted behaviors like barking, jumping, stealing and begging.
Over nine half-hour Boot Camp sessions, we'll take the time to expose your puppy to a wide variety of new experiences, places and people to help her grow into a confident, friendly adult dog. We'll also work on foundation skills like:
- Paying attention
- Sit and down
- "Leave it" and "Drop it"
- Walking on leash
- Come when called
